Greetings from all of us at Lone Wolf Farms;
Spring of 2012 shows the beginning of a new era for Lone Wolf Farms. As you may be aware, we lost our washplant complex to a fire in September of 2011. The building was a total loss, and we were forced to deliver our potatoes to other washplants in the area. We are very thankful to our neighbors, who helped us out during a very difficult period.
We have been very busy since the fire. We started cleanup immediately after the fire, and thanks to a very nice fall and winter; we were able to start on footings for the new washplant. The main work started right after the first of the new year in January. The footings and foundation were finished in February. The shell of the building was started in mid March, and was finished by the end of March. We will start insulation and concrete work in April. The machinery should start arriving in May, and we will be up and running, by September 2012.
Go to our family history page to see a slide show of the new building progress. We will update the pictures as we go along, and get the new equipment installed. We are excited to begin this new phase, and we expect to be able to do an even better job of supplying you, our customers, with our quality red potatoes.
We hope to begin spring planting in early April, as we have had very little snow, and nice temperatures. We will be contacting all our customers as the summer progresses, and we hope you will consider us for your potato needs. We also wish to thank you for your support and concern.
